Dataset methodology

Scope

GBR reporting on owner-managed companies, industrial suppliers, hidden champions, succession and financing conditions.

Inclusion criteria

A record must have a material German company, industrial or Mittelstand operating context and attributable evidence.

Exclusions and limitations

Large-cap corporate news without a clear Mittelstand, supplier, financing or industrial-system connection is excluded.

Revision policy

The index is rebuilt from the publication archive as new qualifying reporting is added. Historical article dates and source attribution remain unchanged; new observations are appended rather than backfilled with inferred facts.

Reuse and attribution
